Community Outreach
The goal of Campus Ministries is to reach as many people as possible for Jesus Christ. Traveling to numerous churches and schools aids in an attempt to touch the hearts of both adults and students to hear, know, and experience the Word of God. Additionally, mission trips give us the opportunity to connect with those who are not in our community and who may not know Jesus Christ. Outreach is a fundamental aspect of Campus Ministries because we never know who needs to be touched by the Word of God.
Encountering Jesus
On a day-to-day basis, Campus Ministries gives students the ability to encounter Jesus. Almost every Friday night, a vespers program is held for the Academy students to connect with God and each other. An extension of these vespers is Power-Pac weekends where a guest speaker talks to the students about their story and walk with God. There are chapel programs every week, to inspire fellowship and worship. Every Saturday morning, a Sabbath School is delivered by Campus Ministries team members to begin the day of worship with something exciting. But, it's not just vespers, chapels, or Sabbath school programs where the students of Auburn Academy experience God. In the hallways, in classes, and in every part of this Academy, students see God in each other and in the faculty and staff.
Music & Worship Ministry
The students at Auburn Adventist Academy have tremendous talent and potential. One of the key avenues which the students use to connect with each other is music. Whether playing an instrument or through singing, the students praise and worship through music, together. Campus Ministries provide these students the opportunity to use their incredible talents for God and for the school. These gifts deserve to be shown and used for His glory.
Leadership
Of the leadership opportunities at Auburn Adventist Academy, Campus Ministries plays a vital component. The students help to create a place of worship and peace for their peers. Campus Ministries is a thriving place of worship which all students can be a part of. Campus Ministries is not exclusive to certain individuals; the invitation to participate in service is extended to everyone in the school, church, and community. Campus Ministries does not just show Christianity, but we talk Christianity for a greater purpose.
