Mechanical Engineering Draft & Design- Teacher- Jay Kissinger

Mechanical drafting is a specialist profession based on technical drafting and computer-aided drafting (CAD) that concentrates on blueprints of machines and machine components used by engineers. This course will introduce the basics to the student of the Orthographic Projection, the Isometric Projection, basic drafting techniques, and finally a fundamental understanding of Beginner AutoCAD Fundamentals provided by Autodesk.

 

FAA Drones- Teacher- Jay Kissinger

In the Drone Operator course the student will go through the ground school version of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems learning the specifics of the language of drones, Federal Aviation Regulations of 14 CFR, Part 107, Airspace and Navigation, Airport and Off-airport Operations, Radio Communication Procedures, Weather, Aerodynamics and Aircraft Performance, Emergency Procedures, Human Factors, Maintenance, and Pre-flight Inspection Procedures. They will also receive an introductory hands on experience with actual drones provided by the school. Upon completion of this study, the student will be eligible to complete an Airmen Knowledge Exam at a certified FAA facility earning an FAA sUAS Remote Pilot Certificate.
